Bijie international inland port project was invested and established by Guizhou Bijie High-speed Development Co., Ltd, Bijie Railway Investment Co., Ltd and Bijie Airport. Bijie is located in southwest China, northwest of Guizhou province. It is the gateway city of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou. It also lies on the north of Chengdu and Chongqing economic zone and south of Guizhou middle-of-south economic zone. Pearl River Delta is on its west. Bijie could radiate southeast Asia. It is an important junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou. Bijie owns abundant labor, mineral resource, biology resource and tourism resource which provides the basic condition for the economic and industry development. Potential surplus labor is above 1.8 million. Workable resource of high quality anthracite reaches 25.6 billion tons. Proved reserves of phosphorus mine is 1.373 billion tons. The reserves of iron pyrite, iron and rare-earth is the head of Guizhou province. Bijie is the one of the main production area of flue-cured tobacco. National forest park of azalea, Zhijindong cave global geopark and Caohai national environment protection area are also there.

The project is market-oriented. It relies on the advantages of location and transportation, supported by existing industry and focus on the expansion of new industry. Bijie inland port strives to develop commercial circulation, promote the interactive development of manufacturing industry and logistics industry to upgrade regional logistics services level and speed up the city development. It could be the international comprehensive logistics park which based in Bijie and middle Guizhou economic zone and radiate Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing. It also be the port that joint Pearl River delta economic area, Beibu gulf economic zone and Eurasian continental bridge.
