Fablog Germany, the leader of logistics consulting, was invited to participate in the design of production and logistics-related projects of the Volkswagen Dresden Transparent Factory in 1999, involving the business areas of plant, transportation and infrastructure, IT solutions, and economic and cost analysis. the production logistics project of the Volkswagen Dresden Transparent Factory is featured a high degree of automation and is a benchmark model project of the German automobile factory, whose basket center design is not only the first creation in the world by Fablog, but also widely applied in customized automobile production logistics.

All spare parts of Dresden Transparent Factory are stored in the warehouse with an area of 12,000m2 in the freight village 5 kilometers away from the factory. 3PL will sort and sequence them in accordance with the requirements of the production plan of the Volkswagen Transparent Factory and the demand of each general assembly station, and put them in the corresponding standard tooling instruments. Meanwhile, in accordance with the requirements of the cycle time, the spare parts will be delivered to the 6,000m2 line-side handover warehouse in the factory by urban rail transportation, and will be directly delivered to each station beside the final assembly line by AGV. Meanwhile, AGV brings back the empty tools that have been used to complete the reverse logistics process. After completing the quality inspection, the finished product vehicle will drive into a 40-meter-high, 16-story fully automated stereoscopic parking garage that can park 280 finished product vehicles. From the supplier to the logistics service provider providing online services, to the side of the final assembly line, to the warehousing of finished products, the entire production logistics has realized the whole process of digital information management and is controlled by 60-100 employees according to the different output. The real-time status of all parts supports real-time query and tracing, and the tooling and instruments realize the circular sharing from 3PL to the assembly line. Automation equipment and information equipment, such as AGV, conveyor lines, and RFID, enjoy a high utilization rate in transparent factories. In addition to the online production logistics of the final assembly line, the reverse material and appliance flow, and the finished product vehicle have also fully realized the automatic and digital management mode.
