On September 18th, the 7th China ASEAN Logistics Cooperation Forum and the Guangxi Promotion Conference for the Land Sea New Channel were held in Nanning, Guangxi.

The theme of this forum is "The Future of the New Channel and Big Platform Chain - Building an ASEAN oriented International Channel and Jointly Building a Regional Collaborative Industrial Chain Supply Chain". It is hosted by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement. The attending guests focus on hot topics such as "high-level joint construction of new land sea channels and building a resilient supply chain system" to promote the high-quality development of the new land sea channels, Promote the deepening and implementation of logistics cooperation between China and ASEAN.

Miao Qingwang, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and He Dengcai, Vice Chairman of China Logistics and Procurement Federation, attended the event and delivered speeches. More than 600 participants, including relevant department heads from provinces such as Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, and important node cities of the land sea new channel, representatives of business associations and enterprises from ASEAN countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, representatives of relevant domestic enterprises and chambers of commerce associations, as well as experts and scholars, attended the conference.

In his speech, He Dengcai stated that Guangxi plays an important role in promoting China ASEAN logistics cooperation. He suggested that Guangxi fully leverage its unique geographical advantages, create a comprehensive cross-border logistics hub, and accelerate the formation of a logistics operation system with two types of resources and two markets at home and abroad, two-way circulation, and mutual supplementation; Cultivate first-class logistics leading enterprises and enhance the integrated cross-border supply chain logistics service capabilities; Promote the innovative development of supply chain services, enhance the resilience and security level of the industrial chain supply chain.

During the project signing phase, the People's Government of Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group, Guangxi Modern Logistics Group, Guangxi Tourism Development Group, Guangxi Supply Chain Service Group, Beibu Gulf Port Co., Ltd., Guangxi Logistics and Procurement Federation, Guangxi Pan Aviation Logistics Company and other units signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with relevant Chinese and foreign enterprises and business associations.

In the keynote speech segment, the attending guests gave wonderful speeches around themes such as "Accelerating the Construction of an International Logistics Operation System for Land Sea Channels", "Continuously Strengthening the Supply Chain Cooperation System of the China ASEAN Industrial Chain", "China Thailand International Trade Land Transport Connection Efficiency", "The Necessity of Connecting Logistics Activities in the Context of the Latest Supply Chain", "Building a Modern Cross border Logistics Service System, Maintaining the Security and Stability of the Industrial Chain Supply Chain", To smooth the international channel towards ASEAN and build a regional collaborative industrial chain supply chain, we will add new strength and momentum.

At the meeting, He Yuping, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, made a special presentation on the construction of the new land sea channel.

It is reported that currently, with the joint promotion of the route and various sectors of society, the new international trade land sea channel has formed various logistics organization models such as international sea rail intermodal transportation, China Indochina Peninsula cross-border shuttle buses, and international air freight. The logistics scale and radiation area are constantly expanding, demonstrating strong market vitality and huge development potential.

From January to August this year, a total of 6107 sea rail intermodal trains were operated for the construction of the Western Land Sea New Channel, a year-on-year increase of 5%. The Beibu Gulf Port completed a container throughput of 5.01 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 15%, and the logistics scale of the channel continued to maintain a rapid development trend.

In the professional sub forum segment, renowned experts and professors from China and ASEAN, leaders of government and industry regulatory departments at all levels, leaders of logistics, trade, finance, and manufacturing enterprises, representatives of business associations, etc., conducted discussions and exchanges around strategic and directional topics, as well as hot and focused issues related to logistics cooperation between China and ASEAN, the construction of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, and contributed their wisdom.
