China Railway Corporation made an important decision to deepen the reform of railway freight transport and promote the transformation of railway to modern logistics. It proposed to strive to develop into a leading domestic and world-class railway logistics headquarter enterprise in about three years. By the end of 2017, 208 first and second class railway logistics base projects will be constructed nationwide.
Changchun Railway Logistics Base is one of the three first-class nodes planned by China Railway Corporation in Northeast China. It is also the first new project to start construction among 33 first-class logistics nodes in China. It covers an area of 2,300 Mu and is located in the comprehensive bonded zone of Changchun Erdao District. It realizes the networking of infrastructure, Intelligent operation of equipment, informationization of railway logistics business and intellectualization of multimodal transport in railway logistics bases through information technology. It is focusing on the development of international and domestic railway long-distance transport business, regional transit logistics business, highway-railway multimodal transport business, urban joint distribution business, cold chain business, packaging value-added processing business, supervision and delivery, bonded business and so on. And aim is to create a benchmarking Intelligent Railway Logistics Base in the the China Railway System.
