As a core subsidiary of CRRC, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. (referred to as "CRRC Zhuji") is China's largest locomotive development base and a leading enterprise in Hunan's 100 billion rail transit industry cluster as well as the capital of China's locomotive. The company's main business includes electric locomotive, urban rail vehicle and intercity EMU. At the same time, it is also developing new industries such as maintenance, turnkey project, super capacitor, high and low voltage electrical appliance for vehicle, braking system, maglev vehicle and energy storage tramcar / trolleybus.

Project background

With the continuous expansion of the type and scale of CRRC Zhuji Machinery business and the moving towards the strategy of Made in China 2025, the application of informatization, automation and intelligent technologies continues to promote the upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry. And with the introduction of the concept of Industry 4.0, the construction of an intelligent production logistics system based on informatization and standardized development was extremely curgent.

In 2015, CRRC Zhuji and Fablog worked together to build a modern intelligent logistics system. The system using the philosophy of lean logistics was aimed at "establishing a set of logistics operation standards, developing a set of logistics management process and training a group of outstanding logistics talents", and finally to optimize the overall planning with the internet technology, to eliminate wasted time and redundant operation steps, to improve the quality of logistics operation, delivery time and cost and achieve lean operation and continuous improvement in later stage.

Result and future construction plan

Based on the principle of high starting point and high standard, the demonstration project provided guidance on the intelligent logistics project of new digital factory of the bogie division.

By the overall planning of the three-dimensional automated warehouse system and the optimizing of the intelligent logistics planning of the production workshop, the goal of being the first to implement the practical application of Industry 4.0 intelligent production logistics in the industry has been achieved: Developed standardized logistics operation procedures, changed inherent logistics operation concept and improved modern production logistics operation system.

In the future, the intelligent logistics solution of CRRC Zhuji factory will analyze and plan at the aim of "digital factory construction information demand (Industry 4.0)",based on "factory existing IT system operation", with the core of "establish a complete logistics IT foundation support" Platform, ensuring efficient and continuous operation of each business system".
