At the end of July, 2003, commissioned by Faw international logistics center, Fablog provided overall logistics solutions for Faw II Factory which was newly built at that time, focusing on the import parts line feeding logistics process solving. The II Factory planned to reach an annual output of 300,000 and the new assembly line assembled four different models of vehicles-Caddy, Bora, Golf and Audi at the same time through 2008. The parts supply would be operated by method of JIT and JIS. After the import parts be unloaded from the container, they entered the CKD-center and basket center and be stored there. According to the production plan, the import parts would be directly sent to assembly area after sorting. Faw-vw authorized a third party logistics company-the changchun faw international logistics center to conduct investment and operation management on these two logistics center.
The first difficulty of this project is that an assembly line different models of cars' synchronous mixing increased the difficulty of parts being sorted and delivered to each station, and among them about over 200 kinds of customized parts which were notified only 40 minutes ago to be prepared and sent to basket center; the second difficulty is that because the assembly line side has no spare space to store more parts, all the CKD parts on the line must be strictly in accordance with the time requirements of assembly and assembly sequence and be synchronized with a special revolving appliance distribution, there are no further secondary sorting or combination of parts on the line side; the third difficulty of this project is that we must guarantee 100% accuracy and at the same time guarantee the logistics operation cost is lower than the original cost.
