As the only high-horsepower engine manufacturer of Cummins in China, /Chongqing Cummins ENGINE Company Limited (CCEC) entrusted Fablog with providing comprehensive integrated production and logistics planning for its Chongqing plant, helping it become a world-class, globally oriented high-horsepower engine research and development center and manufacturing base.
Founded in October 1995, CCEC has employed more than 1,400 employees. The predecessor of CCEC is Chongqing Automobile Engine Factory. Since the 1950s, CCEC has been engaged in the design and manufacture of diesel engines. CCEC is a joint venture established by Chongqing Electromechanical Group and Cummins with a ratio of 50:50 shares, which is also the earliest of Cummins’ six major engine enterprises in China. After 24 years of development, it has grown into an excellent high-horsepower power production base in China, whose products not only popular in domestic market, but also are widely exported to the global market.
CCEC High Horsepower Engine Technology Research and Development Center and High Horsepower Engine Production Base are located in Pingchang and Dayun Industrial Area of the former North New Area of Chongqing, covering an area of 266,360m2. The new production base was put into construction in 2019, trial production was started in early 2021, and all the ramp up stages were completed at the end of the same year. Currently, the production and operation are operated smoothly.
Fablog has conducted overall logistics planning for CCEC’s new production base, following the concept and principle of lean logistics. The logistics planning involves more than 5,000 SKUs, 11 production lines and more than 10,000m2 of storage area. The logistics planning of the Fablog regulation has established a high standard logistics management system for CCEC from the beginning of its construction, realizing the standardization of the logistics system, rationalization of the functional layout, smoothness of the logistics route, rationalization of the online mode, tempo of process distribution, informatization of logistics management and specialization of the logistics team. Through scientific and reasonable logistics planning steps and professional on-site guidance for the implementation of logistics planning, Fablog supported Chongqing Cummins to build the new factory into a world-class, globally oriented high-power engine research and development center and manufacturing base.
