Cold chain logistics is a blue ocean in the logistics industry with great development potential. It is estimated that the total demand for food cold chain logistics in China has increased by more than 300% in the past decade, and cold chain logistics parks have been deployed in various places.

In 2022, Fablog was entrusted to plan and design the first phase of 34.46 hectares of Hengyang’s “Range Smart Industrial Logistics Innovation City”. The project plot is located in Hengyang, a city in central Hunan Province.

Hengyang is a provincial sub-central city, a land-port-type national logistics hub bearing city and a new land-sea channel nodal city. Adjacent to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to the south, it is the forefront of the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The first phase mainly focuses on cold chain logistics. Based around Hengyang, the park faces the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area and radiates to ASEAN, providing customers with logistics services such as cold chain warehousing, prefabricated food processing, value-added processing, fruit and vegetable storage, cold chain city distribution, new warehouse purchase, import and export commodities.

The park is laid out in accordance with the overall framework of “Two Centers, Three Platforms, and Four Storage Areas”. “Two Centers” refer to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao prefabricated food center and special product new warehouse purchase center. “Three Platforms” include a smart freight service platform, a digital economy platform and a comprehensive service platform for the park. “Four Storage Areas” will build freezer storage areas, controlled atmosphere storage area, standard storage area and processing storage area.
