Fablog news
Fablog recently completed the work of the Yangtze River Economic Belt Multimodal Transport Smart Port Eco-City Project.
2019-11-18

The project is located in the port and hinterland of Wuhan. The functional layout of the smart port eco-city of "one city, one park and four districts" is planned to create a service function of "two platforms + six functions".

After the project is completed, it will meet the grain market demand, ore market demand and major piece market demand in Wuhan and its surrounding areas.

The implementation of the North Grain South Transport Project will bring about a large volume and high growth of grain transportation demand. At the same time, the project will design special containers to prevent mildew and loss of grains in response to the problem of easy transportation of grain in bulk shipping. In this way, a logistics system for hot metal public multimodal transport is formed. And it will arrive at Luzhou Port by water transportation and radiate the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is expected that the average transportation cost can be reduced by about 15% and the carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by about 10%.

A large amount of domestic and foreign ore is transported to the destination via multimodal transport through Wuhan transit, which provides important demand support for the construction and development of the project.

According to market and functional requirements, the project can provide other supporting services such as loading and unloading of major pieces for ports and container ships.

On the one hand, the construction of a multi-modal transport smart port eco-city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt can improve the functions of Wuhan Port through its own functional innovation, industrial agglomeration, and market radiation, and support Wuhan as a shipping center in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. On the other hand, it can give full play to the advantages of the only water transport port in the Wuhan area of the Hubei Free Trade Zone, and innovate facilitation mechanisms such as multimodal transport and port services to help enterprises go global. In addition, it can also give full play to the radiation and service capabilities of the Jianghai-Railway multimodal transport, carry out operations such as the North Grain and South Transport, serve the economic hinterland of Wuhan and the Sichuan-Chongqing region, and promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
