Debang Qingdao logistics distribution center is an experimental unit for Debang logistics to use modern automatic equipment. There are a lot of bottlenecks during the actual operations, so the throughput of the transfer center cannot be improved. As a professional consulting company, Fablog company was entrusted by Debang to conduct a comprehensive optimization design on its transfer center located in Qingdao. Fablog chosed modern logistics sorting equipment as well as formulated reasonable operation process, having fully improved the warehouse operation ability and operation level and provided guidance and basis for the future Debang's transit center construction, planning and development.

During the process of analysis, we calculated the operational capacity of four parts-unloading, caching, sorting, loading etc. carefully and found out the shortest "board" existed at the loading and unloading parts according to the Buckets Effect. Because the goods are not loaded in pallets, we need long time to conduct loading and unloading. After further analysis of the loading and unloading car curve, we found that in the month peak in volume, the unloading capacity increased a lot while the loading capacity did not, this led to a backlog of goods as well as insufficient in warehouse area. The disorder of loading and unloading of vehicles led to overall turnover ability's not being able to be improved.

Faced with this situation, we put forward Cars' Loading and Unloading Time Window Concept which is widely applied abroad to solve this loading and unloading disorder situation in out-field Qingdao, besides, we focused on the use of cage trolley to conduct loading/unloading on part of the goods so as to speed up the efficiency of loading/unloading as well as improve the ability in loading/unloading lane mouth according to the situation that loading/unloading time is too long.

Through this two-step optimization, the throughput of Qingdao transit center would be increased by more than 50% of the current maximum capacity. Customer agreed with our design plan and commissioned us to conduct its further detail design so that two concepts can be truly fall to the ground.
